We have an exciting opportunity for a Test Rig Support Technician to join a leading manufacturer in the vibrant port city of Plymouth, where maritime history meets contemporary urban life, all set against a backdrop of stunning seascapes. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production test rigs.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Fault Diagnosis & Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to keep test rigs running smoothly.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular checks and maintain oil cleanliness filter systems to enhance the operational efficiency of test rigs.
  • Calibration & Documentation: Organise and execute calibration of test rig instrumentation, keep detailed records on CMMS, and develop SOPs.
  • Process Improvement: Support the TPM schedule, monitor oil consumption, and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing routine oil cleanliness checks and maintaining filter systems.
  • Organising calibration of test rig master instrumentation and ensuring all equipment meets required standards.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of test rigs in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Monitoring and fixing leaks, managing fixturing and equipment, and ensuring operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

  • Electrical knowledge and experience with instrumentation systems.
  • Relevant certifications such as BFPA Hydraulics courses and IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Knowledge of CAD, SAP, and experience with TPM processes.
