Trainee Sail Makers

DK Recruitment are seeking Trainee Sail Makers for 26-week contract positions for our Devonport based client. This role is safety-critical, and successful candidates will need to work shifts and be available for overtime as required to meet business demands. Candidates must be prepared to work in radiological areas as needed.

Main Purpose of the RoleThe successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Manufacturing and fitting radiological containments
• Creating protective weather screens and covers
• Producing soft furnishings
• Manufacturing gaskets (rubber, sentinel, thermiculite)
• Collaborating as part of a team
• Problem-solving
• Gaining strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and CompetenciesWhile training will be provided, it is beneficial (though not essential) if applicants have:

• A background in textiles or fabrics

QualificationsSuccessful candidates will need:

• Qualifications in English and Maths
• Be reliable and work as part of a team

You must be able to obtain and hold Security Clearance and complete a Basic DBS. We are only able to consider UK Nationals.
