My client is seeking a dedicated Van Driver/Packer to join our team. This role involves collecting customer items from various locations and safely transporting them to their office in Plymouth. The successful candidate will also be responsible for professionally packing items to ensure they are secure for shipment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Collect items from various customer locations as per the daily schedule.
- Safely transport items back to the office, ensuring they are secure and undamaged during transit.
- Professionally pack items using appropriate materials and techniques to ensure they are ready for shipment without risk of damage.
- Maintain accurate records of items collected and delivered, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the van to ensure it is safe and operational.
- Adhere to all traffic and company regulations and laws to ensure safe and legal operation of the vehicle.
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
- Experience in a similar role involving driving and packing is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in packing and handling items.
- Ability to follow instructions and routes effectively.
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves lifting and moving items.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
