The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Lead Engineer to join a world-leading, nuclear defence client based out of Devonport dockyard.

Job Overview:

Our client provides major new or upgraded dock, berth and building infrastructure projects to provide facilities for the ship and submarine sustainment programmes.

Your primary focus will be to Technically manage ateam of engineers toidentify and update extant DesignSafety Reports (DSRs)to support the justification ofsafety claims made through thePSC-220 Phase 4 safety assessment.

Some of your duties will include:

  • The checking and review ofall technical output from the DSR Updates work package.
  • Identification of the extant DSRs that require updating in support of the safety claims made through the new PSC-220 Phase 4 safety assessment.
  • Input into the Facility Level Design Report as required by the14 Dock Operations&IntegrationManager
  • Ensure that theproduceddocumentation covers the scope of operationsrequired by the14D Safety Project Managerand14 Dock Operations& IntegrationManager,and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.
  • Ensuring effective Quality Management Arrangements, operate and deliver through compliance with Babcock's Business Management System and Technical Manual

What do you need to succeed?

  • A degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.

  • CharteredEngineer(orworkingtowards)andregisteredwith Engineering Council.
  • NuclearIntroductoryCourseorequivalentnuclearand/ormarine system knowledge.
