The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Principal Safety Engineer to join a world-leading, nuclear defense client.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Lead safety assurance throughout the lifecycle of nuclear facilities (design, construction, operation, decommissioning).
  • Support compliance with Site Licence Conditions.
  • Develop and lead safety case documentation (e.g. SJP, PCSR, PCmSR, PRS).
  • Support/lead submissions for design changes and modifications (LC/AC 22).
  • Engage with stakeholders, clients, and regulators on technical safety issues.
  • Conduct and/or oversee assessments including:
  • ALARP, ARM, Functional Safety, Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety, System Safety, and Risk Assessments.
  • Criticality, Fire, HAZOP, HAZAN.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Proven experience in nuclear safety case development and assurance.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear safety culture and leadership principles.
  • Able to lead high-performing teams, supervise and train others.
  • DV clearance
