- Principal Safety Engineer
- Contract Role - 6- 12 Months

- Offices based in Bristol, Altringham, Glasgow, Epsom, or Silchester
The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Principal Safety Engineer to join a world-leading, nuclear defense client.
Some of your duties will include:
- Lead safety assurance throughout the lifecycle of nuclear facilities (design, construction, operation, decommissioning).
- Support compliance with Site Licence Conditions.
- Develop and lead safety case documentation (e.g. SJP, PCSR, PCmSR, PRS).
- Support/lead submissions for design changes and modifications (LC/AC 22).
- Engage with stakeholders, clients, and regulators on technical safety issues.
- Conduct and/or oversee assessments including:
- ALARP, ARM, Functional Safety, Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety, System Safety, and Risk Assessments.
- Criticality, Fire, HAZOP, HAZAN.
What do you need to succeed?
- Proven experience in nuclear safety case development and assurance.
- Strong understanding of nuclear safety culture and leadership principles.
- Able to lead high-performing teams, supervise and train others.
- DV clearance
