Abatec is assisting a national Civil Engineering contractor with the recruitment of a freelance Health and Safety Advisor based in Plymouth. Our client is currently embarking on a once-in-generational civil engineering project and requires a Health and Safety Advisor.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar position within the Civil Engineering / Construction Sector.
As a Health and Safety Advisor you will:
- Support and provide information to the site ensuring compliance with all requirements in the construction plans.
- Support investigations of incidents including close calls and near misses on site.
- Identifying training needs
- Assist in the production of Health and Safety plans, procedures, and associated documentation and check Compliance.
Our client is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor with:
- Sound Knowledge of Civil Engineering/Construction Methods
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety or previous experience in a similar role
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Experience working on Civil Engineering/Construction sites.
Salary/Benefits:
- 400 - 450 PAYE
