People Team Administrator

Join our education trust as a People Team Administrator. This role involves a wide range of administrative responsibilities across various functions including Recruitment, Employee Relations, Payroll Support, and Change Management projects. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple tasks and will provide essential support to ensure smooth operations within the People Team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Manage and respond to enquiries from Trust employees and external stakeholders regarding payroll and HR issues via designated inboxes.
  • Contribute to service improvements by providing feedback on data accuracy and administration to the Head of People.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support across all areas of the People Team, including ad-hoc support to the Director of People and Head of People on various projects.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Trust templates, resources, and materials.
  • Generate and collate People Metric Reports and System Analytics for monthly, termly, and annual reports.
  • Support recruitment activities by managing the applicant tracking system, communicating with applicants, and ensuring timely publication of vacancies.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new starters, including system setup and maintenance.
  • Provide clerical support to the department, maintain filing systems, and ensure data accuracy in all electronic databases.
  • Coordinate and support Trust recruitment and networking events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • GCSE/O Level passes including grade C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a customer service environment.
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of GDPR 2018 and Data Protection Act 1998.
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and literacy skills.
  • Ability to use initiative, problem-solve, and manage a busy workload effectively.
  • Desirable: Experience in a HR/People team, familiarity with HR systems, and previous administration experience within the Education sector.
  • DBS on the update service is an advantage.
