Due to exciting growth, Wise Employment are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for a world-renowned manufacturer who pride themselves on pushing the boundaries of innovation and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing and enhancing manufacturing processes for the precision components. This role involves designing and testing new processes, optimising existing ones and troubleshooting any production issues.

Key role requirements as a Manufacturing Process Engineer:

  • You will develop and implement new manufacturing processes
  • Optimise existing manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency and cost
  • Design and conduct experiments to test new processes and materials
  • Troubleshoot issues within production and implement corrective measures
  • Develop and maintain process documentation
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement new processes and resolve production issues
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes are compliant with safety and quality standards
  • Ensure that you remain current with latest technologies and trends within manufacturing
  • Support with the specification, identification and purchasing of required capital equipment

Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar related field is essential
  • Six black belt
  • Experience in production/ manufacturing engineering/process is essential and within the aerospace industry is advantageous
  • You will be required to have a strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles
  • Experience with troubleshooting, optimisation and process design
  • Skilled in statistical process control (SOC) and other quality control methods
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of using 8D methodology for problem solving
  • Proven track record or reducing internal failure costs
