 Sourcing Engineer – Precision Engineering Excellence

Are you a Sourcing Engineer looking for a new role? Wise Employment are seeking a fantastic highly skilled Sourcing Engineer to join an exciting and rapidly growing company in Plymouth.

In this role you will be doing:

  • Source new direct components for NPIs, collaborating with engineering teams to interpret specifications and technical data.
  • Identify, vet, and qualify suppliers, using industry intelligence to strengthen our supply chain.
  • Drive cost savings and inventory reduction opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with sourcing policies and risk management programs.
  •  Be a subject matter expert for direct components and support sourcing strategies.

Too be successful for this role you must:

  • Education: CIPS Level 4+ & Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Strong understanding of the supply chain and mechanical engineering principles.
  • Skills: Negotiation, supplier management, business acumen, SAP & Excel proficiency.
  • Mind-set: Analytical, proactive, detail-oriented, and a great team player!
