Mechanical Fitter

gap personnel Exeter are recruiting for multiple Mechanical Fitter on a temp to perm basis for our client based at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth, Devon.  

You will be joining a leading company that provides Engineering Services to the Defence, Security, Nuclear and Emergency Servies.

As a Mechanical Fitter you will work on a wide variety of mechanical systems such as Fluid Pumps, Diesel Engineers, Air Pressure and Hydraulic Systems. You will be required to work to Engineering and Technical Drawings to install and align new equipment and parts. You will be required to use workshop machinery to complete specific mechanical fittings.

About you:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Mechanical Engineering Level 3 Qualification
  • MOT, Vehicle building, Mechanics experience (Beneficial)
  • Understanding of Technical/Engineering Drawings
  • Marine Industry knowledge (Beneficial)

Pay & Hours:

  • £18.73ph, paid weekly
  • Monday to Thursday (0730am – 1530pm) & Friday 0730am – 1230pm, 35hours per week.
