12-month FTC Pensions Administrator required immediately

A position has arisen for a Pensions Administrator within a large organisation within the Energy sector based in Plymouth. This would be an initial 12-month contract to provide maternity cover.

Salary Rate: £36,000 - £41,500 DOE

Contract Length: 12 months (Maternity Cover)

Location: Plymouth – 5 days onsite per week

Hours: 37.5

Your duties will include:

  • Undertake a role within a pensions team that delivers a professional service to 26,000 members of the pension schemes operating within the organisation
  • Organisation and scanning of the team's post
  • Day-to-day use of the pension administration system
  • Answering telephone / queries
  • Preparation of correspondence
  • Calculating pension benefits
  • Maintaining computerised pension records
  • Updating spreadsheet and diary controls for work scheduling and membership statistics
  • Communicating effectively on Scheme related matters
  • Interpreting and validating documentation and correspondence received in respect of pension scheme rules

Person Specification:

  • Good communicator and team player who is willing to learn
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and good numeracy, literacy and organisational
  • Administration experience is essential
  • Comfortable working in high volume environments
  • GCSEs at grade A to C/4-9 in Maths and English Language or equivalent qualifications
