About the clientAs a result of their expansion plans and ongoing success, my client is seeking a dynamic Revenue Assistant to join their team. This role is pivotal in supporting the Revenue team to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of the company’s revenue streams, credit control, and other debtor balances across both in-store and online sales channels.

About the Role:The Revenue Assistant will work under the guidance of the Revenue Reconciliation Manager, focusing on routine tasks, discrepancy resolution, and maintaining the integrity of our revenue processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of revenue from in-store and online channels.
  • Identify and report discrepancies between sales records and actual revenue, escalating issues as needed.
  • Support the reconciliation of transactions across various payment platforms, including card payments and online payment processors.
  • Accurately input data related to revenue reconciliation processes.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation of reconciliations, discrepancies, and resolutions for auditing and reporting purposes.
  • Reconcile other miscellaneous debtor balances.
  • Collaborate with the team to suggest and implement improvements in reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Raise sales invoices.
  • Manage credit control tasks.

Person Specification:

  • Strong experience in financial reconciliation, preferably within a retail environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Experience with multi-channel retail environments.
