One of Plymouth's modern, progressive, supportive and flexible law firms is looking for a Legal Assistant to join their Residential Property team. This is a great opportunity to join a firm that really cares about its employees, and an opportunity to join a restructuring team, which is focusing on the higher end of the market, dealing with high quality work and clients. The firm has a caring approach to their staff, with a "cultural revolution" geared towards helping its employees manage their workload and mental health. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working within a property team of a law firm, from where they can bring some previous knowledge and know-how. However, if you've worked within a different legal department and have an interest in property, this might be appealing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a support to the fee-earners
  • Offering administrative assistance and ensuring smooth operations within the department
  • Onboarding new clients
  • Opening and closing of legal files
  • Liaising with clients
  • Answering calls and resolving queries
  • Other general legal and administrative support

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience of working within a legal support role at a law firm
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good computer and typing skills
  • An interest in property law would be an advantage
