Title: Maintenance Engineer (Day Shift)
Location: Plymouth, Devon
Shifts: 4 on 4 off, day shift (11am - 11pm)
Salary: Circa £40,000 (inclusive of shift allowance) + Benefits Package

My client, a global leader in medical technology, is looking for a passionate and experienced Shift Engineering Technician to join our team in Plymouth. You'll be part of a dynamic team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.
Responsibilities:
- Guide and support Production Technicians in developing their skills in fault diagnosis and understanding new and existing technologies.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, increase efficiency, enhance quality, and improve safety standards. Leverage systems like MES, SAP, and production downtime data to drive these improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues within our production areas.
- Maintain and improve equipment performance through preventative maintenance and repair.
- Lead small process improvement projects, working with cross-functional teams (Toolroom, Quality, Validation, etc.) to ensure successful completion.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in a high-volume assembly and manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, electrical and servo systems.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, collaborative mindset.
- Have completed an onsite apprenticeship or hold a ONC / HNC / NVQ in an Engineering subject.
