- Carry out reactive maintenance on all plant, equipment, services, and buildings, including electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and monitoring as per schedules.
- Assist with developing and implementing line improvements.Â
- Record and communicate all findings.
- Assist with projects and the installation and commissioning of new plant.
- Liaise with outside contractors where required.
- Work with team leaders and management team to ensure targets are met on safety, safety, quality, efficiency, energy, and waste.
- Communicate effectively with the Engineering Manager on all engineering and production issues.
- Assist in controlling department budgets.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Apprentice-trained in a relevant trade (or equivalent) with an associated qualification.
- Engineering experience in a high-volume production environment is essential and able to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Knowledge and skills in at least several of the following:
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Bench fitting, servicing, and maintenance
- Fabrication and welding
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Equipment installation
