My client in Plymouth is looking for a Project Engineer to join their busy team!
My client provides specialist engineering services, they work on challenging and complex platforms, structures and facilities. Their highly skilled team of engineers, well equipped workshops and state of the art technology allow them to deliver projects from a design concept through to final delivery, to exacting standards, on budget and on time.
A market leader in their field, their experience and track record allow them to undertake a multitude of engineering disciplines, from new builds to repair and maintenance, across a range of disciplines, including electrical, mechanical and structural engineering.
The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- planning and organising production schedules
- assessing project and resources requirements
- reviewing technical documents, estimating, bid preparation, negotiating and agreeing timescales with clients and managers
- determining quality control standards, promoting the quality management system and assisting with audits
- carry out site visits, for tendering and monitoring purposes
- selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
- liaising with customers and staff at all levels
- compiling Method statements and Risk Assessments
- maintaining and promoting good health, safety and environmental practices - ensuring always remain compliant with relevant legislation
- promoting and managing discipline within the workforce
Qualifications and training required:
This position is open to graduates from any degree discipline; however, a good engineering background is required. Knowledge of manufacturing of electrical and mechanical systems, parts and installations is essential. Marine knowledge is desirable.

Additional Information:
The Project Engineer must also be able to handle responsibility and the pressure of meeting deadlines. Working hours are core and additional hours maybe required to suit tasks in hand.
Salary £40-45k pa
38.5 per week, 8am-4.15pm mon - thurs, 8am - 1pm fri
