Attention all Mechanical Design Engineers!

Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic new opportunity for a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to work alongside a leading client of ours on a long-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a predominately remote basis, attending the Plymouth site two days per month. The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding mechanical engineering principles for the design, operation and maintenance of Steam & Condensate, Industrial Gases, Fresh Water, Demineralised Water, HVAC and Domestic Water services.

As the successful candidate, you will be joining a leading defence company that operates in a variety of international markets. They provide unrivalled engineering support to naval, land, air and nuclear operations, frontline support, specialist training and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce concise Mechanical design deliverables across all design stages
  • Report to the Design Manager
  • Produce design deliverables for water, and water treatment plants
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and all other relevant H&S legislation
  • Assist in all aspects of mechanical design from site surveys, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricing
  • Monitoring of design delivery performance and efficiency
  • Conduct regular meetings with project delivery teams
  • Liaise with Mechanical, Electrical and Civil & Structural Designers

Key Requirements:

  • Previous Building Services experience
  • HVAC (ideally in Nuclear applications)
  • A chartered Engineer status is beneficial
  • Security cleared or able to obtain
  • Strong team leader & decision maker with proven experience
  • Good working knowledge of MS packages
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full driving licence
