Venn Group Mechanical Handling EngineerSC Clearance Required Devonport Royal Dockyard 6 month+ Contract £70 p/h (Inside IR35)
Our market-leading client require a Mechanical Handling Engineer to join them on a long-term contract.
Key Responsibilities: • Assist and support the Design manager in the delivery of the project • Draft technical design documentation including requirements, design, presentations etc. • Oversee conversion of existing design records into a 3D model • Determine durations for design tasks to support engineer’s and the project manager with planning activities • Update or provide information to support updating extant documents such as the DSR, OMM, Job Plans and Inspection methods.
Skills Required:• Experience and knowledge of engineering systems as well as experience of mechanical design (including new or modification to structures and systems • Hands-on experience of completing work packages in a high-risk environment • Ability to follow nuclear safety led engineering processes, maintaining documentation • Experience in MathCAD
Desirable:• Knowledge of cranes • Experience working in the nuclear civil or defence industries • Preferably Chartered Engineer status sand member of relevant institute
