Job Title: Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer 
Location: Plymouth - REMOTE - Site visits are 1 - 2 times a month

Join our client as a Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer and contribute to critical projects within the Defence and Military sector. You will play a pivotal role in the scheme design and controlled design of dock bottom lifts, as well as other significant site upgrades. Your work will involve enhancing facility security and safety through new construction and system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead engineering efforts for dock bottom lift designs and controlled design processes.
Oversee the construction of new fences, turnstiles, access perimeters, and CCTV systems.
Manage electrical installations, HVAC system removal, and facility upgrades, including pedestrian markings.
Review, understand, and mark up engineering drawings.
Utilize Navisworks, Revit, and Inventor for project design and implementation.
Experience & Qualifications:

Senior-level engineering experience, ideally within a licensed nuclear site or the Defence sector.
Familiarity with nuclear safety cases and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in using Mathcad (essential) and experience with Eurocode (preferred but not essential).
Prior experience with our client or on a licensed nuclear site is highly desirable.
Working Arrangement:

Flexible on-site presence, typically a few days per month, with potential site visits to subcontractors as needed.
