The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Mechanical Systems Engineer to join a world-leading, nuclear defence client based out of Devonport dockyard.

Job Overview:

Our client provides major new or upgraded dock, berth and building infrastructure projects to provide facilities for the ship and submarine sustainment programmes.

Your primary focus will be to undertake the delivery of mechanical engineering work packages to therequired scope, quality, schedule and cost.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Undertake technical delivery of one or more design packages as directed by the Principal Mechanical Engineer
  • Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operationsrequired by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards,schedule and budget.
  • Ensuring effective Quality Management Arrangements, operate and deliver through compliance with Babcock's Business Management System and Technical Manual.
  • Ensure that the processes and activities being undertaken are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and configuration and quality controls applied
  • Ensure that staff and contractors are familiar with the hazards and risks associated with the work undertaken by the delegated engineering team through effective management and communication

What do you need to succeed?

  • A degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.
  • CharteredEngineer,registeredwithEngineeringCouncilor working towards Chartered status.
  • Nuclear IntroductoryCourseorequivalentnuclearand/or marine system knowledge
