The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a world-leading, nuclear defense client based out of Devonport dockyard.

Job Overview:

Our client provides major new or upgraded dock, berth and building infrastructure projects to provide facilities for the ship and submarine sustainment programmes.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Supporting the Package Manager who is responsible for the delivery of multiple sub-packages.
  • Working closely with the technical team to ensure deliverables meet stringent quality criterium by leading sub-packages through governance processes.
  • Responsible for working with schedule, commercial, cost and risk management functions to ensure that design packages are delivered to time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Assisting the technical and project team in the development of requirements, project scope and solutions for specific work packages.
  • Translate supply chain reporting into useable data to inform planning, monitoring and control of work packages.
  • Manage input to cost and budget monitoring.
  • Document & Deliverable management.

What do you need to succeed?

  • The candidate must have experience of project or design management, ideally within A infrastructure delivery.
  • Civils infrastructure designs experience
  • It is preferable that the candidate will have experience managing and administering an NEC4 contract.
  • The project is located on a Nuclear Licensed site, as such, experience in delivery of nuclear safety-implicated structures, equipment or services would be of desirable
