My client, a global leader in medical technology, is looking for a passionate and experienced Shift Engineering Technician to join our team in Plymouth. You'll be part of a dynamic team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep machines running smoothly by performing regular maintenance tasks.
  • Make sure maintenance tasks are properly documented and planned.
  • Identify ways to make maintenance better by analyzing data and finding improvements.
  • Help with TPM activities, as assigned.
  • Help gather materials needed for maintenance tasks and equipment rebuilds.
  • Be available to work during plant shutdowns to perform maintenance.
  • Help the technical teams to keep equipment working well.
  • Share your knowledge by helping to train other team members.
  • Be willing to help with other tasks to support the business.

Requirements:

  • You'll need a Level 3 qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in a technical role within a production setting is preferred.
  • You'll need experience in plant maintenance, especially with production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems and procedures, including SAP, is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) techniques is a plus.
  • You should be able to work effectively within teams.
  • You'll need to be a proactive and decisive individual with strong interpersonal skills.
