This role is pivotal in maintaining optimal factory operations, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations in a timely and cost-effective manner.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced professional in operational management within engineering or a related field, with a proven ability to lead teams effectively and achieve outstanding results.

The ideal candidate will possess leadership or management qualifications and have a strong history of driving success through exceptional team leadership. A solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, coupled with hands-on experience in implementing improvements and leveraging data-driven insights to optimise processes, is essential.

This role requires a results-driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering collaboration and ensuring team success.

Flexibility to travel occasionally within the UK and internationally is a key requirement, as the role involves visiting suppliers, customers, and attending training sessions or exhibitions

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant experience in an engineering or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable leadership in efficiency improvement, goal achievement, project management, and team development.
  • A track record of implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques, including problem-solving methodologies like 5S and Six Sigma.
  • Exceptional team building and communication skills, paired with resilience, flexibility, and self-motivation.

Desirable Attributes:

  • An HNC or degree in Engineering, Hydraulics, or a related field.
  • ILM Level 5 or equivalent management qualifications.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, AS9100).
  • Lean Manufacturing certification.
  • Coaching experience or formal training.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and systems, including ERP, Excel, and Access.
