Job Title: Production Manager
Location: Plymouth, UK
Salary: 60,000 D.O.E
Travel: 10% (some domestic and international travel may be required)
A leading company in the maritime robotics and defence sector is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee the UK production of a next-generation autonomous underwater glider platform. In this role, you will manage the full production lifecycle, from prototype to final delivery, ensuring operational efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production processes to scale delivery of the platform.
- Manage the end-to-end production lifecycle, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.
- Oversee team recruitment, resource allocation, and day-to-day production operations.
- Ensure all products meet rigorous quality and performance standards.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance across the team.
- Use data to drive continuous improvement and optimise production efficiency.
- Maintain operational SOPs, test protocols, and other key documentation.
About You:
- Strong background in systems engineering and production management.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex production processes.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and data-driven decision-making.
- Passion for robotics and autonomous systems, especially in the maritime environment.
