Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Plymouth, UK

Salary: 60,000 D.O.E

Travel: 10% (some domestic and international travel may be required)

A leading company in the maritime robotics and defence sector is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee the UK production of a next-generation autonomous underwater glider platform. In this role, you will manage the full production lifecycle, from prototype to final delivery, ensuring operational efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production processes to scale delivery of the platform.
  • Manage the end-to-end production lifecycle, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.
  • Oversee team recruitment, resource allocation, and day-to-day production operations.
  • Ensure all products meet rigorous quality and performance standards.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance across the team.
  • Use data to drive continuous improvement and optimise production efficiency.
  • Maintain operational SOPs, test protocols, and other key documentation.

About You:

  • Strong background in systems engineering and production management.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex production processes.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and data-driven decision-making.
  • Passion for robotics and autonomous systems, especially in the maritime environment.
