Mobile HGV Technician needed

Plymouth

Our client, a Cornwall based haulage company providing a premium service, is seeking for a Mobile HGV Technician to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with heavy goods vehicles and have a strong technical background.

Role:Mobile HGV Technician

Hours:Day shift; Monday - Friday

Location:Plymouth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Carry out inspections and MOT preparation to ensure vehicles comply with all regulations.
  • Provide high-quality customer service while working independently at different locations.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed and parts used.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair(or equivalent) ortime-served experiencein a similar role.
  • Proven experience working on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
  • A full UK driving licence (preferably with Class 1 or Class 2 entitlement).
  • Strong diagnostic skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
