Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding Lead: Update safeguarding procedures and ensure staff compliance.
- Operational Management: Oversee the nursery’s management, staffing, and organisation to ensure smooth operations and high-quality programme delivery.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain professional relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all legal and statutory requirements and effectively implement operational policies.
- Record Keeping: Manage child records, support invoicing processes, and uphold high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Activity Planning: Plan and set up daily activities that cater to children’s developmental needs, and manage curriculum planning and policy writing.
- Staff Development: Provide guidance and training to staff and manage communications with parents and other stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
- Academic: GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above.
- Experience: Proven leadership and managerial skills within an Early Years setting.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS and ability to fully implement its requirements.
- Inspections: Experience with Ofsted inspections and multi-agency working.
- Certifications: Current first aid certificate and food hygiene certificate are preferable.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
