Office Manager with some Finance Experience (desirable)

My client is seeking a proactive and experienced Office Manager to oversee the daily administrative operations of their office. You will join a well-established commercial and domestic security company in Plymouth, with a strong presence since 1985, my client provides reliable services across Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall with a commitment to excellence 24/7.

Day-to-day of the role:•    Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that the office is operating smoothly.•    Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary.•    Perform receptionist duties: manage incoming calls, greet visitors, and provide general support to visitors.•    Handle basic bookkeeping tasks and assist with budget preparation.•    Schedule meetings and appointments, and manage travel arrangements for senior executives.•    Maintain the office condition and arrange necessary repairs and maintenance.•    Organise office operations and procedures, such as filing systems, employee onboarding processes, and office layout.•    Provide general support to employees (small team of 4 inclusive) and assist with office management issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:•    Proven experience as an Office Manager, Front Office Manager, or Senior Administrative Assistant.•    Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems, and procedures.•    Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular).•    Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.•    Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.•    Strong organisational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.•    A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.
