Nursery Practitioners!

Monday - Friday, 8 - 40 hours per week, Temporary / Bank, Flexible hours

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistants/ Practitioners to join our team of experienced educators supporting Nurseries across the Devon and Cornwall area. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing professional childcare to children during their time at a nursery. You will be highly trustworthy, attentive to children's needs, and committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Supervising children during playtime

Engaging children in learning and play activities

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

Collaborating with team members

Maintaining high standards of operation

Participating in staff meetings

The role of a Nursery Practitioner requires extensive knowledge of children, including their interests, needs, and development. You must be able to keep children entertained, teach them in a way that is easily understandable, and create a fun and engaging environment.

Skills and experience:

Level 3 - Diploma for Childcare (or equivalent qualification)

Experience working and playing with children

Proactive and motivated approach

Strong leadership and organisational skills

Professionalism and ability to work well in a team

Effective communication and active listening

Knowledge of children's stories and nursery rhymes

Flexibility and understanding

Positive and cheerful demeanour

Ability to manage stress and remain calm
