A UK-wide community pharmacy is seeking a GPhC registered Pharmacist to join their team in Plymouth (PL6) on a permanent part-time basis, working 2 or 3 consecutive days per week.
The pharmacy is a busy store, dispensing approximately 23,000 items per month and offering various services including DMS and flu vaccinations.
The role offers a salary of up to £30 per hour, depending on experience, along with reimbursement for GPhC fees, a pension scheme, and free parking.
Responsibilities include dispensing medications, preparing prescriptions, monitoring drug therapies, and providing pharmacological information to healthcare professionals and patients.
Candidates are expected to have relevant experience, and the recruitment process consists of a one-stage interview.

Role Responsibilities for the Pharmacist:

Dispensing prescription medicine to the public in accordance with the regulations and contractual obligations.
Preparing medications by reviewing and interpreting orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibles, and prescribing errors.
Dispensing medications by compounding, packaging, labelling medicines.
Controlling medications by monitoring drug therapies, advising interventions.
Completing pharmacy operational requirements by organising and directing Technicians workflow, verifying their preparation, and labelling of medicines verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
Providing pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of healthcare professionals, counselling patients on drug therapies.
