I'm excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic Supply Chain Project Manager to join my clients team at their Head Office in Plymouth. This role is crucial for their expansion plans and ongoing success, providing project management expertise across multiple projects that are integral to the business growth strategies.
Day-to-day of the role:Project Kick-Off:
- Provide detailed project requirements for stakeholder sign-off.
- Schedule project timelines with key dependencies.
- Establish daily/weekly project update communication mechanisms.
- Define and maintain positive working relationships with necessary stakeholders.
Project Management:
- Manage the project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
- Schedule and host project updates across stakeholder groups.
- Proactively communicate updates and resolve barriers.
- Assist in testing and trials as part of project deliverables.
- Implement changes into the live environment and provide handover support post-deployment.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and well-managed.
- Attend meetings and document minutes/action points to maintain clarity and accountability across project teams.
Leadership:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all assigned projects.
- Provide effective and informed service by thoroughly understanding all elements of the Project Team.
- Represent the Project Team in meetings, offering clear and proactive communication to senior leaders.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Proven track record in high-level oral, written, and visual communication.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to lead multiple projects against tight deadlines.
- Experience in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to lead across multiple stakeholders and in a matrix environment.
- Self-starter with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient in document management and the MS Office Suite.
- Influencing and negotiating skills, with experience leading senior leaders across multiple departments.
- Ability to travel occasionally to operational sites, including overnight stays as needed.
- Experience within the Retail sector or operational network of physical and online stores.
- Experience with WMS/ERP tools and leading systems-based projects.
