Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a FTSE 100 organisation that contributes to international defence to recruit a Principal Mechanical Process Engineer on a 12-month contract, on a remote basis with rare visits to its Plymouth site.
The Principal Mechanical Process Engineer role comes with an hourly rate between 70 - 87 an hour.
Key skills required for the Principal Mechanical Process Engineer role
- Experience of designing a mechanical service or process systems.
- Experience of working in a highly regulated industry, strong preference to nuclear.
- Understanding of hydraulic or pressure calculations.
- Understanding of hazard identification and analysis associated with process systems (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP etc)
- BEng/BSc in mechanical engineering or similar degree.
- Line management experience of 3+ direct reports.

- An hourly rate between 70 and 87 per hour
- Inside IR35
- Remote working with occasional site visits (1 in 6 weeks)
- 12 month contract
