My client, a global leader in medical technology, is looking for a passionate and experienced Process Engineer to join our team in Plymouth. You'll be part of a dynamic team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 4-block updates, implement initiatives to return lines to LSA, and drive sustained performance through center lining activities.
  • Initiate plans for upgrades, continuous improvement and general production efficiency.
  • Analyze data from MES, PAB, and VOA to identify and address daily bottlenecks, focusing on key KPIs.
  • Provide guidance to shift teams based on data analysis to address problematic areas.
  • Drive quality improvements to reduce TQN and QN to align with company metrics.
  • Contribute to CI projects and validations to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Use systematic problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and address repeat loss issues.
  • Attend meetings to discuss line status, agree on resource deployment, and close losses.
  • Provide data and recommendations to the Reliability Leader to enhance maintenance standards and execution based on problem-solving outcomes and DTM/PPM activity.
  • Support equipment breakdown resolution as needed.
  • Coach team members on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.

Requirements:

  • HNC or Degree in Engineering/Mechatronics or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical or manufacturing roles, with a focus on high-speed automated assembly and packaging equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and foster a positive team environment.
  • Confident independent thinking and the ability to act decisively under pressure.
  • Experience with safety and ergonomics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Systems.
  • Some PLC experience is preferred but not essential.
