I am seeking an experienced Project Manager to take the lead on a high-rise accommodation facades project in Plymouth. This is an initial 10-month contract, with a strong possibility of continued work as new projects are set to begin. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering a high-quality, compliant, and efficiently managed façade package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership – Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the facade package, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
  • Programme & Budget Management – Develop, monitor, and update project schedules, ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Subcontractor & Site Coordination – Oversee multiple trades, ensuring smooth coordination and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise on-site.
  • Quality & Compliance – Ensure all facade works meet UK building regulations, fire safety standards, and project specifications, maintaining rigorous quality control processes.
  • Health & Safety Oversight – Promote and enforce a culture of safety on-site, ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and company policies. Conduct regular site inspections and address any HSE concerns.
  • Stakeholder Management – Work closely with clients, architects, consultants, and suppliers to maintain clear communication and resolve any design or construction issues efficiently.
  • Technical Expertise – Provide hands-on management of all facade elements, including cladding, curtain walling, insulation, and waterproofing systems. Ensure proper installation, sequencing, and detailing.
  • Procurement & Resource Planning – Liaise with procurement teams to ensure materials arrive on time and are in line with project requirements. Manage workforce allocation effectively to maintain progress.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven track record in successfully managing facade projects, ideally on high-rise residential or commercial developments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cladding, curtain walling, insulation, waterproofing, and fire safety regulations.
  • Experience working with UK building regulations, NHBC standards, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors, manage tight deadlines, and ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Qualifications – SMSTS, CSCS (Black/White), and First Aid preferred.
  • Experience working with design teams, architects, and structural engineers to address technical challenges and ensure compliance.
