We are looking for an experienced Quality Technician to join a based in Plymouth.


The Quality Technician will be responsible for daily and weekly reporting of Audit failures, Internal Complaints and Gate Data, complete Audits within Sheet Metal, Paint and Assembly (including the warehouse) products, aid in supporting the use and completion of internal 4D problem solving, lead and contribute to team activities including CIP and Six Sigma and projects, ISIR/CPK measuring capabilities, be able to measure parts and generate reports, organise/ provide Quality training to any/ all departments as needed, carry out root cause analysis to provide guidance in Customer and Internal Concerns.

The successful candidate will have a mechanical engineering ONC or appropriate experience in quality roles. City & Guilds 743 Quality Assurance Qualification or similar is essential. They will also have operational experience of Problem-Solving systems and procedures and ideally some Quality Audit training to ISO 19011:2011. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, tact, diplomacy, and teamwork to be successful in this role.

The role is fast-paced and demanding, so the successful candidate will need to be able to work to tight deadlines, under pressure and on own initiative. They must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, work well and support as part of Quality Management team and be flexible and proactive including overtime/ weekend working.

The Quality Technician:
