The client is UK based subcontractor that specialises in the installation and maintenance of passive fire protection, thermal insulation, and acoustic barrier systems for the construction industry.
They work with Contractors on new builds, and refurbishments as well as working with the social housing on maintenance works.
The Quantity Surveyor will optimize the successful execution and commercial management of each project, accurately manage projects through budgeting and reporting, ensuring that each project is delivered in accordance with contract conditions in the most cost-effective manner possible.
In this role you will carefully review of tender documents to identify exact requirements and potential risks, the creation of a schedule of works, budgeting or quantifying the Bill of Quantities if necessary and manage the commerce all the way through to final accounts.
For this role you will need to have experience as a Quantity Surveyor either working for a Contractor or subcontractor, You will have an excellent understanding of Projects and their lifecycle and the ability to understand and interpret design drawings accurately and efficiently.
Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other system-based information services.
A strong commercial understanding and an awareness of how this impacts our controls of risk and opportunities.
Good supplier management skills.
