Randstad are currently looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work with an established contractor on Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the UK's most historic naval bases and play a key role in delivering high profile projects in the defence sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost management for large-scale defence projects at the dockyard
  • Prepare and analyse cost estimates, budgets, and tenders
  • Manage contracts, procurement, and supplier relationships
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with project and legal standards
  • Provide expert advice to project teams and senior stakeholders
  • Manage project finances, reporting, and forecasting to ensure cost efficiency

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of contract management (NEC3/NEC4 preferred)
  • Excellent financial management and negotiation skills
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • SC clearance (or ability to obtain)
