Experienced Maintenance Technician required for global manufacturer based at their Plymouth site. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, The successful candidate will work with the existing moulding team to repair and customise parts in order to provide toolroom based support for the repair of mould tools and equipment to support the business, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal machinery downtime at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use in-house facilities efficiently to repair and maintain injection moulding tools.
  • Provide engineering support for production activities.
  • Follow good Manufacturing procedures and safe working practices.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the toolroom and other work areas.
  • Align with Safety Lockout and work warning systems.
  • Respond to emergencies by working overtime when required.
  • Keep records of spare parts to ensure they are restocked and cost-effective.

Essential Qualifications, Experience, knowledge and Candidate Attributes Required:

  • Recognised Apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Maintenance Engineering (minimum level 3 / HND).
  • Proven experience working to Maintenance Technician level within either Manufacturing, Engineering, The Armed Forces or Automotive (Vehicle Technicians) will all be considered.
  • Methodical mindset coupled with excellent communication skills coupled and a collaborative mentality.
  • Resourceful problem solver coupled with good knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office suite and other IT systems.

Beneficial Experience:

  • Experience gained from within hot running injection moulding would be highly beneficial, but not essential.

It is essential that the successful candidate must be able to commit to a 3 on 3 off day shift comprising of 07:00 to 19:00. The salary advertised is inclusive of 20% shift premium.
