My Special-Purpose Machinery manufacturing client are looking to expand and are wanting to hire an experienced control Systems Design Engineer to join the team.

This role will suit an experienced Control / Electrical Design Engineer who is able to manage projects from concept through to design and manufacture. You'll have a full driving licence and you'll love working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate may come from a similar business, and we would welcome relocators.
As well as project management and hands-on Control System Design/Software, your responsibilities will include:
? Developing effective cross functional relationships and appropriate ways of working with both the electrical and mechanical elements of the business
? Researching & recommending potential new technologies, processes and ways of working that could be beneficial to the company to optimise performance, quality and profitability
? Ensuring, where appropriate that customer specifications and delivery requirements are fully evaluated and agreed with customers, both internal and external
? Effective self-management to achieve agreed targets
? Communicating any issues that may hinder the achievement of agreed targets
? Commissioning, servicing and supporting projects manufactured by ourselves at our customers premises both in the UK and overseas
? Ensuring that documentation is produced and completed in a timely and appropriate manner
? Ensuring that agreed performance, quality, cost and delivery targets are met
You will be:
? An experienced Control System Design/Software Engineer with a background within a similar industry
? Able to work autonomously, prioritise and meet deadlines effectively
? Passionate and driven, with the desire to produce and deliver to a high standard
? Able to produce PLC and HMI programmes for one or more of the following Programming packages, i.e. Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron, Schneider, Bosch etc.
? Experience of SCADA and PC based programming languages i.e. Wonderware InTouch, WinCC, Labview etc. would also be advantageous but not essential.
? A team player with the ability to mentor more junior members of the team
? Wishing to work within an exciting growing business with international clients
