Position: PE Teacher

Responsibilities as a PE Teacher:

  • Develop and implement a diverse physical education curriculum
  • Create and enforce rules and guidelines for safe participation in physical activities.
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sports events and activities
  • Monitor and manage student behaviour during physical activities, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
  • Encourage and facilitate student participation in school-wide fitness initiatives and health-related programs.
  • Support students in developing lifelong fitness habits and understanding the importance of physical health in overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns related to physical education.

Desired skills & qualifications:

  • Must be residing in or around Plymouth
  • Should be eligible to work in the UK
  • QTS/PGCE or an equivalent qualification
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Professional references with clean work history
  • Proven experience in teaching or coaching sports
  • Strong knowledge of various sports, fitness techniques, and physical education methodologies.
