Our mission is to change lives, build stronger communities, and reduce crime. Last year, we supported, housed, educated, advised, and advocated for 38,000 disadvantaged young people and adults. Now, we need you to help us make an even bigger impact.This role requires regular travel across an allocated area and therefore, a Full Driving License and access to your own vehicle are essential. You will be able to claim mileage expenses from base location (your home address) at 45p for every mile travelled. An Enhanced DBS and Prison Clearance is required for this role.??These will be completed as part of the Pre-Employment screening process.Your new roleFull-time 40 Hours per week Base hours are 09.00-17.00 but Must have flexibility between the hours of 08.00 and 22.00.Key Responsibilities:

  • Income Recovery
  • Maximise Income:?Monitor rent accounts, address arrears, and ensure residents meet their rent obligations.
  • Collaborative Action:?Work with Support Workers and Housing Management Workers to manage arrears.
  • Benefits Engagement:?Liaise with Housing Benefit and our Welfare Benefit Advisor for complex cases to ensure correct benefit levels

Tenancy Support

  • Enforce Tenancy Conditions:?Ensure compliance with tenancy and license conditions.
  • Induct and Train:?Support new starters with training on housing management and tenancy creation.
  • Promote Prevention:?Advise on and manage less complex anti-social behaviour cases, focusing on prevention and early intervention.

?Legal Duties

  • Prepare Documentation:?Create and manage notices, witness statements, and court documents for enforcement or tenancy termination.
  • Court Representation:?Represent the organisation in court when necessary.

Estate Management/Property Standards

  • Training and Support:?Deliver training on property standards and ensure documentation and reporting systems are maintained.
  • Policy Access:?Help staff access and understand policies and procedures regarding property standards and issue escalation.

What you'll need to succeedWho We're Looking For:Are you passionate about social justice and housing? Do you have a background in the social housing sector as a Housing Officer? If so, we want you to lead housing management in your area, working closely with our Support teams. Your expertise in Housing Law, Welfare Benefits (especially Housing Benefit), and the funding of supported housing, including Exempt Accommodation rules, will be invaluable.What you'll get in return
