As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Junior Software Developer to be based at a prestigious Head Office in Plymouth.

About the Role:

Youll be joining a talented team of developers designated to design, develop, test and deliver a myriad of in-house software and web-based solutions. You will be working alongside other members of the team whether that be other junior developers, senior developers or Project Managers all in an effort to deliver products to the client within an agreed timeline to the highest quality available. As a junior developer you will be expected to support as well as develop in-house products, meaning you will be developing new and exciting products as well as supporting more legacy items via 3rd line support (i.e. on the phone or face to face with the client)

Knowledge and Skills:

Essential:

  • ASP.NET
  • C#
  • HTML
  • Understanding of the practical application of agile development methods
  • Understanding of CSS
  • Exposure to T-SQL or PL/SQL or MySQL
  • JavaScript (Any industry recognised library) / jQuery
  • Exposure to Git or equivalent source control
  • Some exposure of working with databases
  • Evidence of strong teamworking skills in a diverse team

Desirable:

  • Android
  • Mobile Development

Person Specification:

  • Software Development experience or a recent Graduate with an IT related degree
  • Willingness to learn
  • A can-do attitude and be ready to contribute to the team.
  • Passion to add value, creative mind and self-sufficient to work with minimum supervision with a passion for learning.
