Description:

Are you an experienced Oracle Developer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on a range of projects? Our client, a leading organisation in the Utilities industry, is seeking a talented Oracle Developer to join their team. As an Oracle Developer, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining the organisation's in-house developed applications on Oracle Databases, utilising your expertise in Oracle Forms and PL/SQL.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse business requests and design software changes to meet the organisation's requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve issues, determining the most efficient and effective solutions.
  • Develop software changes based on your analysis and investigation.
  • Test software changes to ensure they align with the defined solutions.
  • Collaborate with the business to gather information about the change and involve them in user acceptance testing and sign off.
  • Manage software changes through source control and change management systems.
  • Support the implementation of changes and conduct post-implementation monitoring.
  • Document all changes and provide support to team members as needed.

Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Oracle Database (preferably 19C), including SQL and PL/SQL coding.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Forms development (preferably 12C).
  • Good knowledge of different testing levels and techniques.
  • Familiarity with source control and change management fundamentals.
  • Experience using work management tools like JIRA.
  • Highly organised and process-driven with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships with both technical and business stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
