We are seeking a number of full-time and day-to-day Teaching Assistants to work at our partner schools in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking work for the upcoming academic year. The school is catered for children and young people with complex needs; with their cognition and learning needs identifying a severe learning difficulty.
All learners have an Education, Health and Care Plan and have complex communication and interaction needs. These difficulties are associated with Downs Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Condition, physical disabilities or a complex medical condition.
Role & responsibilities
We work with a number of schools in and around the Plymouth area providing education support for children. Your day-to-day duties will involve assisting with work and activities, supporting students’ wellbeing and development, and helping the class teacher and other support staff to cultivate a supportive, friendly atmosphere for children. You will be carrying out intervention with small groups of children led by the class teacher.
Location: Central Plymouth (PL1 - PL9)
Salary: From £93.00 per day
