This is a beautiful school for students of all ages (ages 3 to 19) that offers instruction to students with physical disabilities, illnesses, and related learning and communication challenges.

This role is best suited for individuals who can:

  • Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
  • Support the teacher in delivering informative and engaging lessons
  • Support students with challenging behavior
  • Prepare for lessons (e.g. preparing resources, putting out equipment)
  • Support with some of the pupils' additional care needs (e.g. feeding, toileting)
  • Support the children in completing day-to-day tasks around the classroom and with their learning
  • Ensure that pupils are safeguarded and supported

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

  • Eligibility to work in UK
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • 2 recent professional references
  • Experience with challenging behaviors
  • A calm & caring personality
  • A strong and resilient personality and be committed to pupils' development
  • Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
  • Team Teach trained - or willing to attend training
