SEN Teaching Assistant responsibilities include the following:

Keep the classroom and its furnishings neat and safe.

Assist with record-keeping by documenting observations of students during the academic day.

Share their comprehension of pupils with other members of the school personnel.

Exhibit good attitudes, values, and actions appropriate for the role and the standards.

Encourage all students to participate in extracurricular and academic activities in order to support, encourage, and facilitate inclusion.

Offer assistance with teaching and learning, making use of the necessary technological tools.

Help students with special education requirements and other needs.
A SEN Teaching Assistant should ideally have the following:

Experience working with students who have special education needs: ASD, PMLD, SEMH, or MLD.

Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).

The ability to work in the UK.

Two references from the professional world are required.
