Make a Difference: SEN Learning Mentor

Do you have a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a full UK driving licence? Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real impact?

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Mentor to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping young people with SEN gain the skills and confidence in and out of the classroom.

About the Role:

  • Provide tailored support to learners with SEN, both in the classroom and during practical lessons.
  • Develop positive and trusting relationships with learners, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents/carers and other professionals to create personalised learning plans.
  • Contribute to the assessment of learners' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of learner progress.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to individual needs and learning styles.

You will be:

  • Patient, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting young people with SEN.
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to build rapport and trust with learners quickly.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to think on your feet and problem-solve.
  • A full UK driving licence holder with a clean driving record.
  • Motor insurance, including business use.
