Butler Rose are currently working with a Plymouth based business who have a current requirement for a Procurement Contract Manager.

The role

The role is wide ranging in scope, but the main objective will be to lead on the development of contract management for the business and to ensure the companies suppliers are held accountable to their pre-determined performance metrics. The role will also be responsible for indirect spend for the business. Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders (such as managers or department heads) to define the scope of work, establish appropriate KPIs, and agree on contract terms.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with UK law and are legally enforceable.
  • During contract negotiations, work to minimise risks or ensure they are fully understood before finalising agreements.
  • Obtain contract authorisations in accordance with competence guidelines.
  • Review contracts with internal stakeholders to confirm that the goods or services provided align with contractual terms.
  • Conduct contract reviews with suppliers when necessary.
  • For direct materials, collaborate with the relevant buyer to agree on the terms of the framework contract, using the specified template, including terms of warranty, liability, and supplier inventory obligations
