DK Recruitment are working with a global Manufacturer who are looking to offer an experienced Supply Chain/Procurement Leader to join their team.Our client can offer a passionate, committed and rewarding culture for you to grow and thrive within your role.

In this role, you will lead a team of 7, overseeing material planning, indirect procurement, and plant maintenance stores. You will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to shape the strategic direction of the department, ensuring the achievement of key supply chain targets, including cost reduction, compliance, and continuous improvement.

This role primarily requires onsite presence, but it also offers the flexibility of some home office options. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with the potential to succeed the current Supply Chain Manager.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead all aspects of purchasing activities, including raw and indirect materials and Plant Maintenance stores.
  • Lead the implementation of the site MRO strategy, aiming to reduce vendor numbers and enhance supplier integration.
  • Collaborate with production operations to manage any warehouse or production changes impacting supply chain processes.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with corporate procedures, conducting regular audits and handling CAPA actions.
  • Provide quarterly Material Forecasts and update Finance on any price changes affecting Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
  • Act as the subject matter expert for departmental audits and supply chain-related issues.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead process improvement initiatives to maximise value for money.
  • Manage compliance with HMRC Inward Processing and support Finance with audit requests and customs data.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional qualifications such as MCIPS or equivalent are desirable.
  • Extensive experience in supply chain management within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to develop and manage multi-disciplined teams.
  • Proficiency in supplier and customer relationship management, with a focus on delivering measurable benefits.
  • Highly skilled in business analysis, process improvement, and organisational transformation.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
