Butler Rose delighted to have been exclusively appointed to support a Plymouth based FMCG manufacturer who have a current requirement for a Supply Chain Manager on a 1 year FTC with scope for the role to be made permanent.

The role

The role will be wide ranging in responsibility and will oversee all elements of the supply chain and logistics activities within the organisation. The role will develop and implement all material, production and dispatch plans including 3PL, budget and timelines according to business needs, and be responsible for stock accuracy across all areas of the business. Working to a JIT model, and to develop and implement the 12- and 52-week plan, creating and issuing all daily schedule plans.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Production planning and stock control (excel based system)
  • Manage and issue daily plans for a multi-functional multi shift team
  • Oversee storage, transfer and planning
  • Responsible for stock accuracy and requirements
  • Deliver products consistently, on time and within site production capabilities
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, deadline driven environment
  • Exceptional communication and reporting skills
  • Developing, managing and updating the planning system ensuring the needs of the business and customers are met.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal management at all levels, building positive relationships.
  • Coordinate and cultivate excellent relationships with 3PLs
  • To act as the key contact with the relevant supply chain and purchasing teams for all customers of the business.
  • To manage all levels of stock within the business operating to JIT and within cash flow requirements.
  • Ensuring that technical and Health and Safety requirements are met in respect of the delivery and storage of materials.
  • Develop, manage and maintain the ordering and goods intake systems
  • To oversee the dispatch and booking of deliveries using approved hauliers and distribution centres.

  • Be a confident user of Excel

Package
